Statement
We were commissioned to renovate and modernize the Hotel Rocas de Bahía Inglesa in the Atacama region of Chile.
A key requirement was to comprehensively reimagine the hotel's identity, which had become outdated.
Consequently, the project involved a series of design decisions regarding materials, spatial layout, lighting, and furnishings. These elements converged to create an atmosphere evoking a sense of fantasy, rich in archetypal allusions that express the aesthetic of a bygone era, yet reinterpreted in a playful, provocative way for the present day.
The scope of the intervention covered various areas, most notably the reception, corridors, pool, bar, dining room, and meeting rooms, extending even to the most private spaces, such as the guest rooms.
